Ever hear someone say that emotional first Aid is important and that you should make sure you know what it is? No, that's okay most people haven't, but hopefully I can help change that narrative. I barely got to learn this concept in the past year, but I am beyond grateful that I did. As a kid we are all taught that if we get a cut and it bleeds to get a Band-Aid, but no one teaches us that if our heart hurts or if mentally we aren't okay that there are "emotional Band-Aids" that we can use to help. One of the "Emotional Band-Aids" that has worked for me and one that might work for you, is taking five minutes a day to be alone with myself in complete silence. This is something that helps me to let go of a lot of the stressfull points in the day and is something that helps me to work through the times that I struggle the most. Another great first aid trick is to literally wipe off the struggles of the day. To expand upon this, this means that at the end of everyday you take your hands and you wipe all the negative things that happened to you in your day.
Emotional First Aid is something that is very important to learn about and those Band Aids are essential for when the days simply become too much. I will cover far more on how to help take care of your emotional needs in my videos to come.
